Payments & Payouts on Arc · 28
The largest category in the directory and the one furthest from crypto-native. It covers payment service providers, acquirers, remittance operators, payout and payroll platforms, business account providers and card programmes — companies whose role is almost always Integrates: an existing product that added Arc as a rail for its own customers, not a protocol deploying contracts.
Two things are worth stating plainly as of 2 September 2026. Nothing settles on Arc mainnet before 16 September, so every relationship here is testnet, announced or exploratory, and each entry's status line carries its dated evidence. And the operating figures reported for grant-cohort companies — volumes, user counts, corridor coverage — come from secondary reporting rather than Circle, and are labelled as reported on every entry.

Questions
What counts as a payments project on Arc?
Anything whose core job is moving money for a payer and a payee: PSPs, remittance, merchant acceptance, payroll and payouts, business accounts, and cards. Infrastructure those companies buy sits in Developer Infrastructure instead.
How is status decided?
Status reflects what we observed on the date shown, not what a project announced. Every entry carries a dated source you can open and check yourself. Live can become Inactive if activity stops.
Does paying change where a project appears?
No. Paid entries are labelled Listing, sit in the same ranked order as everything else, and use rel="sponsored". Payment never affects status, flags, evidence or the Editor's Index.
