How listings work

Our own shortlist of the clearest examples of real work on Arc. It is unpaid, it cannot be bought, and no paying project has ever been added to it as part of a deal. Index entries carry a warm mark after the name and a warm kicker on their own page.

An Index pick is not an endorsement, a recommendation or investment advice. It means we think the entry is a useful example of what is actually happening.

Every entry gets one editor-written sentence. A self-submitted page shows the project’s own line, labelled as theirs, until we write ours; an entry we source ourselves does not publish until we have written it.

Each entry has one primary role, describing its relationship to Circle’s Arc blockchain rather than its quality.

Deploys

Deploys means the project runs its own smart contracts on Arc.

Integrates

Integrates means the project connects Arc to a product that already exists, without deploying contracts of its own.

Issues

Issues means the project puts an asset — a stablecoin, a token or a tokenised instrument — on the chain.

Serves

Serves means the project provides infrastructure, such as RPC, indexing, custody or compliance, that other Arc projects depend on.

Operating a founding validator — one of the named organisations Circle selected to run consensus nodes at Arc’s launch — is recorded as a mark, not a role, because running a validator is not the same as shipping a product.

Four statuses, each carrying a source URL, a short note and the date we checked on Circle’s Arc blockchain.

Live

Live means we observed the product working on Arc for real customers on the date shown.

Testnet

Testnet means the work was observed on Arc testnet only, with no live customer money involved.

Announced

Announced means the project has stated an intent to work with Arc and nothing is observable yet.

Inactive

Inactive means we saw no activity on Arc when we last looked.

Statuses are observations on a date, not permanent judgments. Inactive in particular is reversible: send a source and we re-check.

Three flags can appear after a name on Circle’s Arc directory.

Unverified claim

Unverified claim renders red and means the project states an Arc relationship we cannot source.

Lookalike

Lookalike renders red and means a property imitates an official one, such as a near-identical domain or handle.

Under review

Under review renders neutral and means we have an open question about the entry, not a conclusion.

Flags carry the same evidence standard as statuses. A project can send a response to corrections@builtonarc.app and we publish it on the entry, next to the flag. Flags cannot be removed by payment, and a paid placement is never used to soften a flag notice.

Every entry records whether we found an official source, whether the project claims the Arc work itself, and whether we observed a product live to customers — each with a note and a date.

On-chain checks — contract verification, published audit, liquidity lock, reserve attestation — are shown only for projects that deploy or issue, because they have no meaning otherwise. A check marked not applicable is not a negative and is never rendered as one. None of these checks is a security or solvency guarantee.

Editor’s Index — unpaid, chosen by us, warm mark. Outbound links are ordinary links.

Listing — $249 once, a paid submission, labelled “Listing”. Outbound links carry rel="sponsored". A Listing never affects status, evidence, flags or the Editor’s Index.

Featured — a placement, not a tier: $999 for 30 days, one of three labelled rows above the home directory, ordered by start date and never inside the ranked order. A featured entry keeps whatever tier it has.

Your page publishes within minutes of the payment clearing, as long as our automated checks pass. It is labelled self-submitted until a person here has checked it.

Some submissions are held for review instead of publishing. If we decline one, the fee is refunded in full.

A person does the rest: the Editor’s Index, every status change, every flag, and every refund. None of it is automated, and none of it is for sale.

Built on Arc is operated by Builtonarc.app LLC, an independent company. It is not affiliated with Circle, with Arc, or with any project listed here.

If the operator of this directory ever has a commercial relationship with a listed project, that entry says so on its own page and is held to the same evidence standard as every other.

If something here is wrong we would rather fix it than defend it. Send the entry, what is wrong and a source to corrections@builtonarc.app. Corrections re-date the entry so readers can see it was re-checked.
