Prediction markets on Arc: a thin and mostly unconfirmed category

As of 2 September 2026, Built on Arc found no live, independently operated prediction-market project with a sourced connection to Arc. The only prediction-market presence in Circle's own Arc documentation is a sample application — "Arc Prediction Markets," described as a reference implementation using UMA's Optimistic Oracle V2 for resolution and a constant-product AMM for position trading — published as example code to demonstrate the stack, not a maintained product. Circle's arc.io/ecosystem taxonomy has no bucket for the category at all. This is the honest status of a category that has not really shown up on Arc yet.

What was actually found

Circle's developer documentation lists sample applications meant to demonstrate what can be built on Arc's App Kit and broader stack. One of them, "Arc Prediction Markets," is described as: "Decentralized prediction markets with UMA Optimistic Oracle V2 resolution and constant-product AMM for position token trading." That is a real, specific technical description — it names an actual oracle mechanism (UMA's Optimistic Oracle V2, a widely used dispute-based resolution system) and an actual market-making model (constant-product AMM, the Uniswap-style formula). It reads as functioning reference code, not marketing copy for a vaporware product.

What it is not: a live, independently branded prediction-market product with its own team, its own users, or its own track record. It sits alongside Circle's other sample apps — Arc Commerce, Arc Escrow, Arc Nanopayments, Arc DeFi Lend and Borrow — all framed the same way, as demonstrations of the App Kit and Arc's stack rather than standalone launches. Treating "Circle's docs mention prediction markets" as equivalent to "a prediction market project exists on Arc" would overstate what was actually found.

What wasn't found

Built on Arc looked for independently operated prediction-market projects with a sourced Arc connection — the kind of thing that would show up as a named team, a live testnet deployment outside Circle's own sample-app repo, or coverage from a source other than Circle's own documentation. None turned up as of 2 Sep 2026. That's consistent with Circle's own arc.io/ecosystem page, the closed partner wall of roughly 100-plus institutional names sorted under 19 filter tags across Issuers, Infrastructure, Tools, and Enterprises — a taxonomy that has no bucket for prediction markets, gaming, NFT, or consumer categories generally. Prediction markets simply are not a category Arc's own ecosystem framing is organized around yet, which tracks with the absence of named projects.

Why this guide is short, and not padded

Built on Arc's brief for this guide was explicit: write the honest status if the record is thin, don't pad it with generic prediction-market explainer content unrelated to Arc specifically, and consider blocking the guide entirely if nothing verifiable exists. There is one verifiable, specific thing to report — Circle's own reference sample app — and that's a real finding worth stating plainly rather than either inflating it into "prediction markets are live on Arc" or omitting it and blocking the page. What would have to exist for this to become a real category: at least one independently operated project, with its own deployment and its own public track record, distinct from Circle's own demonstration code. As of 2 Sep 2026, that hasn't happened yet.
